UK: Consultation on proposals to change the copyright system

In December 2011 the Government announced proposals to modernise the copyright system and remove unnecessary barriers to economic growth.

The Government is now consulting on these proposals. The government has organised a series of stakeholder consultation events around the UK so regionally based businesses and interested parties can hear about the Government’s plans as set out in the consultation document. The consultation is aimed at individuals and organisations, including small and medium sized business, which may be impacted by the proposed changes to UK copyright laws.
