The Ad hoc Committee on Artificial Intelligence (CAHAI) of the Council of Europe has approved the application submitted by MediaLaws to be admitted as observer to the CAHAI in its capacity as representative of civil society, research and academic institutions.
Under the authority of the Committee of Ministers, the Committee has the task of examining the feasibility and potential elements on the basis of broad multi-stakeholder consultations, of a legal framework for the development, design and application of artificial intelligence, based on Council of Europe’s standards on human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
The CAHAI has therefore invited Oreste Pollicino, founder and editor-in-chief, and Marco Bassini, vice editor-in-chief and managing editor, to join the next meeting scheduled on 6-8 July (the agenda of which is available at the URL https://bit.ly/2NK7whJ).
