MediaLaws is pleased to share that the EU-Brazil Conference “Empowering the Digital Global South – The Impact of EU’s Regulation on Data, Digital Platforms and AI Governance” will take place on May 21st 2024 from 10.00am to 5.00pm in Brussels. The event will take place in hybrid mode: participation is free but subject to registration for both online and on-site participants.
It will explore the implications of EU regulations on data, digital platforms, and AI governance for Brazil and other Global South countries, identifying challenges and opportunities ahead. It will bring together policy-makers, academics, civil society and practitioners.
The event is organised by the Law, Science, Technology & Society (LSTS) Research Group of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in cooperation with the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) Law School.
