MediaLaws is pleased to share the event “Electronic money tokens and AML/CFT compliance. Bridging a gap between payment systems and DLT”, organised by the LLM in Law of Internet Technologies, Bocconi University, together with Banca Sella.
The workshop will address the new European framework for crypto-assets and AML/CFT compliance with specific reference to electronic money tokens (EMTs). The focus will be on the provisions of the Market in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) Regulation No. 1114/2023 and the AML/CFT provisions, including the Transfer of Funds Regulation No. 1113/2023. The aim is to provide a first assessment of the measures that credit institutions and electronic money institutions will have to implement in order to access the crypto-asset space as issuers of EMTs.
