MediaLaws is pleased to share the 2025 edition of the Florence Digitalisation Summer Conference, titled “Digital Sovereignty in a Post-Globalised World,” hosted by the European University Institute (EUI) in collaboration with the OECD Secretariat. The event will take place on June 26–27, 2025, at the historic Badia Fiesolana campus in Florence, with both in-person and online participation options available.
This year’s conference will explore the evolving concept of digital sovereignty, particularly in light of recent global disruptions such as the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing geopolitical tensions. The discussions will delve into how digital sovereignty intersects with competition and innovation in technology markets, examining its implications across various layers of the digital domain, including infrastructure, standards, and data governance.

Participants can attend the event online free of charge or opt for in-person attendance in Florence for a registration fee of €150, which covers refreshments, including coffee breaks, a lunch, and a dinner. Please note that the fee does not include travel and accommodation expenses.
