Medialaws is pleased to invite you to the online roundtable on the “AI Act and Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment”, held online together with DICOPO and the Digital Constitutionalist.
The roundtable, chaired by Giovanni De Gregorio and Federica Paolucci, will address the main issues surrounding the protection of fundamental rights under the AI Act.
Both in the private and in the public sector, the increasing reliance on AI exposes individuals to possible threats to their fundamental rights, raising concerns on how to address the legal and ethical questions related to the development of AI technologies. In this context, the AI Act tries to address the issue by drawing a risk management framework that aims to mitigate the risks that AI systems may pose to individuals.
In the roundtable, the discussants will stress this key aspect from the perspective of AI regulation, focusing on the scope of the Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment provided under Art. 27 of the AI Act from both an academic and practical perspective.
