On December 10th, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) launched a trial in which it seeks to find out how it can monitor in practice the functioning of algorithms that businesses use. The aim is to inform businesses on what they can expect when ACM checks their algorithms. In the light of the EC White Paper on AI, the ACM also seeks to emphasize attention on consumer protection in the development of policies regarding AI.
