The digital road to growth and jobs

On 27-28 February the stage is set at the Bella Center in Copenhagen for the conference “A Digital Single Market by 2015 – A driver for economic growth and jobs”. The conference will be attended by more than 200 high level representatives from European business, public sector, academia and civil society.

The main focus of the conference is the Digital Single Market’s potential as an engine for creating jobs and economic growth in Europe. At the informal Competitiveness Council on 2-3 February, this potential was made clear through three concrete and ambitious targets: (1) A doubling of European online sales by 2015; (2) A full transition to e-procurement in the EU by 2016; and (3) The establishment of e-invoicing as the dominant invoicing mode by 2020.
